Schedule View in the Outlook Calendar

One of the new features added to the Outlook Calendar is Schedule View. Previously in Outlook, you could view your calendar by day, week (work week or full week), or month. The schedule view allows you to display your calendar in a timeline view. This is particularly helpful if you are viewing multiple calendars and trying to schedule meetings or appointments.

To access the schedule view, click on the Schedule View button in the Arrangement group on the View ribbon. The shortcut to change to schedule view is Ctrl+Alt+5.

Schedule View Features

Within the schedule view, there are many different useful features. You can do the following in schedule view.

  • Display multiple calendars
  • Create meeting request to all members (calendars selected and displayed)
  • Create an appointment
  • Request permission to view more details of a calendar (shared calendar)
  • View a different day
  • Change the time scale (Arrangement group on the View ribbon)

Try out the schedule view and see what you think. If you're regularly viewing multiple calendars, this new view should come in handy.
